Well, Duh!

NewsGovernmentIn a brilliant piece of reporting, the New York Times has uncovered an amazing fact – you don’t want to be living in a trailer during hurricane and tornado season (registration required).

When they started putting people up in single-wides, it only made sense if you assumed the government and insurance companies could move fast enough to get the city rebuilt by early summer. Given that I just heard back from the insurance company about an incident I reported in November, I can tell you that’s unlikely.

So now we’re going through the spring tornado season and just a couple short months away from Hurricane season, and have lots and lots of people living in large matchboxes. And people wonder why libertarians question the capability and role of the federal government.
