US Firms Bowing To Chinese Government

On the heels of US Firms cooperating with Chinese crackdowns on dissidents and speech, some in Congress are looking at ways to stop the practice. Efforts are underway to determine whether legislation may be required to prevent American companies from helping dictatorships squelch human rights.

This is something that needs to be done. The fact that companies here will help China imprison its people (either literally or by restricting their freedoms) is appalling. If companies here are unwilling to advocate freedom and oppose oppression simply because it interferes with profits, then we have proven the evils of capitalism that the Chinese teach.
