Political Ads in Video Games?

Political advertisers are always looking for new ways to move message. Last year, Jerry Kilgore, running for Governor in Virginia, sponsored a NASCAR driver at Richmond International. The Bush campaign advertised on gym networks.

While nobody has tapped the in-flight TV shows to reach business travelers, apparently there is a whole new medium for political communications – video games.

Where Madison Avenue goes, eventually the politicos go, too. Will the GOP start sponsoring party building ads to appear in games targeted at the youth market? It’s an investment in the future, right?
