How The Mighty Have Fallen

This is just sad. I started reading Wired years ago because I thought they did a good job of covering technology.

The fact that they would launch a podcast of someone reading a column that’s on their site in print tells me they no longer get technology.

I’ve noticed over the last few months a trend in their articles. I see it on CNet as well. Their articles usually cover stuff that I read on blogs like Ars Technica or TechDirt a day or two earlier. Now they make a big announcement out of doing podcasts – only to crow about podcasting bland content.

I guess it’s appropriate. In a wi-fi world, a magazine called Wired is unable to unplug itself.
