Hillary Clinton, Corporate Raider

Hillary’s speech at the DNC winter meeting should make everyone nervous. Her frontal assault on the corporations that drive our economy was in full view.

The same is true with energy independence. The Democrats know what needs to be done. Again, we’re working to try to push this agenda forward.

The other day, the oil companies reported the highest profits in the history of the world. I want to take those profits, and I want to put them into a strategic energy fund that will begin to fund alternative smart energy, alternatives and technologies that will begin to actually move us toward the direction of independence.

“I want to take those profits?” Do those words strike fear into the heart of everyone reading this, or is it just me? At what point did it become the policy of the federal government to seize assets of companies simply because it feels their profit margin is too high? Is she really advocating the seizure of funds to somehow nationalize our energy industry and direct it toward an “acceptable” goal?

I am the first to argue that the Republicans have lost their way, and probably deserve some time in the penalty box (the minority) to reflect on the error of the ways. However, it appears the radical left wing of the Democrat party has learned nothing from their time in the wilderness.

They have come to power not based on their ideas, but rather based on the moral bankruptcy of the GOP, and now feel they can speak openly about an agenda most would equate with communism.

The people running our government, on both sides of the aisle it seems, have lost any grip on reality.
