Fun Stuff On Drudge

Like most people in DC, I like to check in on the Drudge Report from time to time. Unlike a lot of his visitors, though, I don’t usually browse the political news. I look, instead, for fun stuff like this and this.

I read these things for the same reason I watch high speed chases on Fox News and drive past car accidents very slowly. I love the sick drama of it all.

I also like finding little gems like Twitter.com buried in the depths of an article I would otherwise likely overlook. Honestly, I could care less what Mike Kinsley has to say. When it had to do with the Internet and ego, however, I had to click through just to see if he was talking about me. He wasn’t. He instead turned me on to one of the more ridiculous social networking sites I’ve seen. I’m guessing it will become huge and be acquired by Google.

I also relish the scientific studies that report what any guy who has ever dated a girl have always known.

“Women have an eight-lane superhighway for processing emotion, while men have a small country road,” said Dr Brizendine, who runs a female “mood and hormone” clinic in San Francisco.

There are, however, advantages to being the strong, silent type. Dr Brizendine explains that testosterone also reduces the size of the section of the brain involved in hearing – allowing men to become “deaf” to the most logical of arguments put forward by their wives and girlfriends.

Thank you Matt Drudge, for these useless tidbits. They make the day a little better.
