Big News Out of Iraq

There is huge news out of Iraq today. It’s not the death of Zarqawi, though that plays a part. The big news out of Iraq is the announcement that someone won the lottery – the Zarqawi bounty lottery that is.

Some lucky informant will collect all or part of the $25 million bounty for information that led to the killing of the insurgent leader. It’s not clear if anyone in the military will get a slice of the pie for actually dropping the bomb, painting the house with the laser, or generally risking life and limb to actually kill the bad guy.

Personally, I’d like to see a bonus paid to the guys that actually took part in taking him out.
